The book follows Jan Kaastrup and Michael Sjøberg, a cyber investigator and a data hostage negotiator, through real cases involving Russian hacker gangs, million-dollar demands and companies on the brink of bankruptcy.
Journalist Ida Nyegård Espersen spent ten months at Jan Kaastrup's kitchen table, creating a book that makes the abstract cyber threat tangible for everyone, not just IT professionals.
